Sakurai Yuki is an orphaned high-school student who lives in an institute for the handicapped. Yuki, who possesses a special ability which sometimes allows him to read the thoughts of those he touches, is searching for a meaning to his existence.

One day, a familiar young man, Zesu, appears before him. Zesu informs Yuki that he must leave on Walpurgis Night. From that moment onwards, Yuki finds himself in the midst of numerous mysterious incidents, dragged into a millenium-long war involving the demons known as Duras.
